Why Trade Shows?
We feel a trade show presence is a must, especially in today's marketplace. Our normal business protocol is generally very impersonal. Most contact is via telephone. Quotes are usually faxed, e-mailed, or over nighted to customers, who generally respond with orders in a like manner. We occasionally see the customer at final inspection prior to shipment, but many times this procedure is videotaped and sent to the customer. The trade show offers a relaxed, friendly setting, to shake hands, chit chat, and discuss past and future business. A typical trade show can cost us $15-30,000.00 so as our largest single annual advertising cost, we value this time highly. We look forward to seeing you at our next trade show.

Rubber Expo '99
Orlando, Florida Sept 21-23, 1999
We were fortunate to have a front row booth, between our 2 largest competitors, Farrel Corporation and Rubber City Machinery. This gave us the greatest exposure to our target customer base.
We exhibited a new KTM 20 liter Internal Mixer, and a rebuilt Slabside Hydraulic Press. The interest in our new Internal Mixing line was phenomenal, and the general consensus was that our rebuilt press with our standard KTM designed, upgraded adjustable bolster guides, won "best of show".
The attendance of 5,700 was a good number, but was diminished by 50% of expectations due to people being scared away by Hurricane Floyd rumbling through the area.
We enjoyed greeting all of our long standing customers that stopped by to say hello and chat, as well as the new prospective customers that we met. We truly appreciate this "handshaking" opportunity.

The papers, workshop, and "off the exhibit floor" itinerary grew in 1998, as did the number of exhibitors and attendees. The hall space was increased by 57%, As a charter member of ITEC, we are proud of it's maturing growth as the "The" Tire Event.

Rubber Expo '97 was a great success!
The next was Rubber Expo '97, October 21-23, again in Cleveland, Ohio. We quadrupled our original booth size to allow us to exhibit multiple pieces of equipment.
Thanks to all who visited us at booth #114. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this record breaking event. This was the largest ever in the history of the Rubber Division. Attendance was an all time high with over 10,000 attendees and 350 companies exhibiting.
If we didn't get a chance to talk with you, please contact us. We look forward to serving you.

International attendance rose to 32 countries represented, while the US domestic tire manufacturers made a very strong showing. The enthusiasm was great. ITEC '96 won first place honors in the 1997 National Prima Marketing Awards.

The Rubber Expo show in 1995 was held in Cleveland Ohio, and we tripled our booth space to hold a Desma Horizontal Injection Press showcasing our consignment capabilities.

The Rubber Expo '93, in Orlando, Florida, hosted by the ACS-Rubber Division was the first trade show we participated in.This is the quintessential trade show for the rubber industry. It is held every two years in various cities around the United States.
